Matt brings eight years of nonprofit experience to Common Impact in a variety of roles in innovation, program management, and direct services. As a Consultant, Matt supports businesses and nonprofits in their efforts to create social change through skills-based volunteering.
Prior to Common Impact, Matt spent four years at L’Arche Chicago as the Director of Community Experience, where he used human-centered design practices to build better partnerships between care workers, the local community, and individuals with intellectual disabilities. Previously, Matt has worked as a community organizer in Chicago and as a Program Manager for the Maria Kaupas Center to support restorative justice efforts in K-12 schools.
Matt enjoys finding ways to connect seemingly unrelated people and topics to generate new thoughts, ideas, and experiences. Outside of work, Matt is an avid cyclist, cook, reader, and he creates garments for his closest friends and family.
