When I look out and see all the challenges we face in the world, I also see incredible opportunities for people across sectors - in nonprofit organizations, in companies, in government, in communities - to work together. The more we invest in bridging these sectors and co-creating impact, the stronger we will be.  That's what brings me joy: working with other people to make good things happen.

Rachel Hutchisson is a social impact executive with a proven record of creating and scaling initiatives that build community and drive results. Widely respected for her authentic approach and voice, as well as her entrepreneurial spirit, she has spent her career working at the intersection of corporations, nonprofits and foundations. Previously, Rachel was the Vice President of Global Social Responsibility at Blackbaud, a leading technology company serving the social impact sector, where she built the company’s philanthropy, CSR and ESG functions from the ground up.  In addition to leading how the company gave and engaged its employees as Agents of Good, Rachel served on the Diversity and Inclusion Council and chaired the Senior Women’s Leadership Council. A frequent speaker and moderator, Rachel has long been a champion for the role businesses — and their people — play in serving others. A former member of the board of directors of Common Impact, she has been an active volunteer for her entire career, holding positions including Chair of The Giving Institute and board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Global, the Coastal Community Foundation and Learning to Give. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dickinson College, which honored her with a Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement in 2024, and the University of Missouri, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Journalism.
