Anne Ames is head of Human Resources for Fidelity Brokerage, a division of Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, and other financial products and services to individuals, businesses, and wealth management firms and institutions.
In her current role, Anne is responsible for end-to-end talent management practices, developing and executing workforce strategy, enhancing the associate experience, improving manager effectiveness, and enhancing ongoing development and learning in support of nearly 14,000 Fidelity Brokerage associates. Anne is dedicated to ensuring that Fidelity is a place where associates are empowered to drive their own futures and learn the skills and capabilities to deliver on business-critical work.
Anne’s career at Fidelity began in 2006 in Talent Acquisition, where she swiftly rose to lead firm-wide talent acquisition efforts. Anne held a variety of leadership roles in Human Resources over the next decade across Fidelity’s diverse business units, including Workplace Solutions and Enterprise Technology and Global Services. Most recently, in 2024, she became the head of Human Resources for Fidelity Brokerage.
Anne has a deep combination of human resources and business experience in the Financial Services industry, having worked for Bank of America and its predecessor banks. During her tenure, she held leadership roles in the areas of Human Resources, Retail Banking, and Regulatory and Board Governance.
Anne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Assumption College. She serves as the Chairman of the Board of Common Impact.
