ServeOhio (the Ohio Commission on Service and Volunteerism) saw that local nonprofits and their corporate partners wanted to engage with each other on a deeper level than traditional hands-on volunteering allowed, but many had poor experiences with skills-based volunteering (SBV) in the past and were hesitant to try again. That’s why ServeOhio and Common Impact created the Skills-Based Volunteerism Training Academy: to equip nonprofits with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to run successful SBV programs.
Find out how the SBV Academy created a thriving culture of collaboration and capacity building for Ohio nonprofits, plus how Common Impact’s “train the trainer” model has prepared ServeOhio to take the mantle as the state’s go-to source for all things pro bono.
