Kate Reese

Project Consultant

she/her

As a champion of the nonprofit sector, I am always seeking to connect organizations with the skills and resources needed to achieve their missions. Working at Common Impact has provided me the unique opportunity to not only find creative matches that support the nonprofit sector, but to elevate the impact that corporate partners can have in their communities.

As a Project Consultant, Kate serves the organization’s mission of building a new, connected economy by facilitating relationships between nonprofits and corporations through skills-based volunteerism. Kate also serves as a consultant for progressive advocacy organizations and is a part-time Research Associate for Everytown For Gun Safety’s Support Fund. Kate learned about the value of skilled-based volunteerism through her previous work on Americans for Arts’ pARTnerships Initiative where she developed online educational content for Business Volunteers for the Arts, which aims to reach business leaders with the message that partnering with the arts can build a competitive advantage.

Prior to Americans for the Arts, Kate was a Membership Manager for Chicago Loop Alliance, where she enhanced CLA’s membership program through stewardship of current members and solicitation of new members, fulfillment of member benefits, and member events including the annual meeting of the board, the formal gala, and monthly networking events.

Kate attended Loyola University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and French Literature and New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service where she earned a Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in Public Policy. During her free time, you can find Kate biking around her Brooklyn neighborhood, cooking for friends, or fanatically striving to make the perfect playlist.
