Nikke DeYear joins the Common Impact team as an Associate Consultant. In this role, Nikke serves Common Impact’s mission of building a stronger community by facilitating the relationships between non-profits and corporations through skills-based volunteerism.
Nikke brings a diverse background to Common Impact. After working on international development and humanitarian projects overseas in Huaycán, Perú and at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Washington D.C., Nikke brought her knowledge of program implementation and cross-sector relationship building to The Oklahoma Group. In her role as a non-profit consultant, Nikke helped local organizations overcome business challenges by working within a cross-functional team to design projects and develop targeted recommendations and deliverables. Led by an increasing passion to serve her local community, Nikke spent a year as an AmeriCorps service member where she worked directly with clients affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. These experiences convinced Nikke of the need to build sustainable models for resource-sharing across industries to support the communities in which we live, and ultimately led her to Common Impact. She is excited to be a part of the team and looks forward to building partnerships across industries.
Nikke received her M.A. in Global Security/Humanitarianism and B.A. in International and Area Studies, summa cum laude, from The University of Oklahoma.
