Teams from SIM (Society for Information Management) partnered with educational nonprofits that were facing technology challenges for a day of skills-based service.
An introductory roundtable brought participants together to discuss overarching challenges with bringing S.T.E.M curriculum into general education.
SIM members then held breakout consulting sessions where they addressed a pre-scoped challenge with their partner nonprofit.
92% of SIM members expressed increased interest in skills-based volunteering.
40% of SIM members continued the relationship after the engagement was completed.
