#GivingSkills on #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration taking place on Tuesday, November 29th. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
This year, we are hosting a Twitter chat on Tuesday, November 29th to talk about how you can give your skills, in addition to your dollars through volunteering. Throughout the chat, we will explore the merits of skills-based volunteering and tangible ways in which you can give back by leveraging your existing skillsets.
- Seth Williams, Signature Skills Program Manager, Corporate Responsibility at John Hancock Financial Services
- Steven Mock, Past Common Impact Project Participant
- Megan Wong, Director of Strategic Initiatives, EARN
- Katje King, Director of Strategic Implementation and Evaluation, PENCIL
