Jean Serra

Co-founder & Partner, Version 2.0 Communications

During her career, Jean has led strategic communications campaigns in the enterprise, consumer and professional services sectors. Prior to co-founding Version 2.0 with industry veteran Maura FitzGerald, Jean spent ten years with FitzGerald Communications, a leading technology communications firm, where she designed and managed awareness campaigns for leading global brands and technology start-ups.

While serving as a senior vice president at FitzGerald, Jean drove PR strategy for numerous emerging growth companies. She also provided strategic counsel to well-known market leaders including Texas Instruments, USinternetworking and GTEinternetworking (now Genuity).

In addition to managing and mentoring Version 2.0's stellar account teams, Jean is responsible for driving the communications strategy and messaging for her clients as well as the overall management of account programs, including corporate and product launch planning, announcement development and analyst/media relations.

Earlier in her career, Jean experienced life from the "client perspective" as manager of corporate communications for venture-backed NetMorf, a mobile application software provider. She also held senior account management positions at Red Whistle Communications (a WeberShandwick company) and Fleishman-Hillard.
