Jacques is a senior executive with extensive experience in managing teams of technology specialists to deliver and manage complex systems for private and public corporations. Over the years, he has worked both for technology companies that sell and deliver services, and for the companies that buy or use these services, giving him a perspective of the whole information technology industry.
Jacques has been with Manulife Financial Services since 2009 where he is currently the Vice President of Global End User Technology Services, providing computing, mobility and support services to the 30,000 worldwide employees of Manulife. In a previous role with John Hancock Financial Services, a subsidiary of Manulife, as Vice President Infrastructure Services, he managed all of the data center, network and end user technology for the U.S.
Before Manulife, Jacques held executive-level positions with large information service companies, such as EDS Canada and CGI Group, selling and delivering outsourcing solutions as well as large systems development and integration projects.
Jacques has been personally involved with Common Impact since 2010 when he first introduced the organization to John Hancock. Since then he has sponsored many projects within John Hancock, and even actively worked on a few himself.
Jacques received a Bachelor of Engineering Physics and Master of Electrical Engineering, both from The Royal Military College of Canada. He served for 9 years as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces managing telecommunications and computer systems operations and systems.
